The Outcomes Star website
A one-stop-shop for all things Outcomes Star
The Outcomes Star is a tool for helping individuals, support workers and organisations track progress made in a number of key areas. For instance, one Star is aimed at homelessness organisations and provides a map for formerly homeless people to make steady progress towards first stability and then, for those who are able, total independence from the organisation. One of the areas a formerly homeless person may need to work on would be their social network, avoiding the loneliness and boredom that may be triggered by moving away from the street, or employment, building the skills, paperwork and experience needed to get a job.
Triangle Consulting have been busy developing a whole range of new variants on the Star designed to work well for different sectors and client groups. The first of these, the Mental Health Recovery Star, was published in 2008 by the Mental Health Providers Forum (MHPF), and Jellymould was asked to design the two guides that support this.
Further variants on the Outcomes Star have been piloted and Jellymould is currently busily working with Triangle Consulting to devise a brand and house style that will be applied to all Star publications from here on.
The homelessness and mental health Stars are available from Homeless Link’s Homeless Outcomes website and MHPF but a new home is needed to house all of the Stars that are being produced, and this is what we have been working on during the summer of 2009.
Triangle Consulting commissioned us to work with them to rapidly develop a site that could aid the dissemination of the Star and, in July 2009, a new Outcomes Star website was launched. Our role was to project manage, design, edit and produce the website for Sara Burns and Joy MacKeith of Triangle Consulting.
“I will feel really proud and confident directing people to this site. It couldn’t be better, in my opinion. Fantastic.”

Later this year, the Work Star, Teen Star and Alcohol Star will be published on the new Outcomes Star website.
